Wedding Gift

Savanna and Chris' wedding present, from Sublime Stitching's Ryan Berkley transfers, were a perfect gift (and a nice distraction from my Twin Peaks marathon). The couple's cat is named Navy and Savanna made Mr. & Mrs. Fox outfits for Halloween this year, so I chose to make the cat and fox transfers.

Ms. Kitty: Split stitch, satin stitch, stem stitch, French knots (in gold), backstitch

Mr. Fox: Split stitch, back stitch, stem stitch, French knots

The happy couple, ready to go to their new home.

Dr. Seuss

Triple C and I made these from a kit we found at the store where we bought a mat for my Master's diploma. Celebrating adult accomplishments with Dr. Seuss!

Duvet

A few months ago, I bought a three-way futon from my neighbor. After stuffing extra padding into the futon case, the zipper broke. Solution? Duvet cover for the futon cushion!

I left a lot of "stuffing room" for more padding if I want it.

Ribbon ties on one end

The finished look. Next couch project: embroidering the white pillows in blackwork and redwork.

Truly

Does a Master's thesis count as a craft? After months of research, writing, and revising, I finally had a moment for embroidery. Here's a little present I made for Ingrid.

Favorite Phrases

I've been making Julie Jackson's designs (and variations thereof) for friends...and failed to photograph any of them. Thanks to B's camera, you can see her favorite phrase.
